Music is a much needed part of our culture. Many students find their calling while singing a song or through playing a musical instrument. Others discover a creative outlet that helps them through anxiety and stressors. Perhaps you are experienced music and are able to teach your kids all they need to know in this area. Music Lessons in Delaware County, Indiana
- The School of Music Piano Pedagogy Program is for students of all ages and ability levels to pursue piano instruction with School of Music faculty and student teachers.
- Anyone interested in studying piano should contact Dr. Lori Rhoden, professor of piano and coordinator of piano pedagogy and group piano, by email or call 765-285-5449.
- The BSU School of Music partners with Muncie Symphony Orchestra to provide free chamber music concerts to elementary-aged students.
- The chamber concerts may include a string quartet, a woodwind quintet, a brass quintet and a percussion ensemble.
- While under the guidance of faculty, each chamber music group puts together an age-appropriate musical program. School of Music students then collaborate to create an interactive presentation that focuses on engaging the elementary-aged students in a conversation about the music and its composer.
