Classes
Hello, My name is Magy Lail and I have been teaching Spanish Classes to the Muncie area homeschool community for many years. I will be teaching High School level classes (1,2), kids in grades K-6 and Middle school (some students in grades 7 -8th can join the HS classes if they have a good understanding of English Grammar and they can keep up with HS level work).
These 1 hour class will be on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from late August 2024 to early May 2025 for HS, and Beginning of September to end of April for the kids levels 1a-5. They will be for about 30 weeks. The complete schedule will be sent early in the summer.
The schedule will be:
- High School Spanish 1 – Tuesdays 11-12 pm
- Hight School Spanish 2 – Tuesdays 10-11 am
- Little kids Level 1a – Wednesdays 1-2 pm
- Little kids Level 1b – Wednesdays 2-3 pm
- Kids Level 1 – Wednesdays 3-4 pm
- Kids Intermediate Level 3 – Tuesdays 1-2 pm
- Kids Intermediate Level 2 – Tuesdays 2-3
- Kids Advanced Level 5 (pre HS) – Tuesdays 3-4 pm

In case of bad weather I will have the classes online for HS, where I will teach the class to the students using “Zoom”.
Cost
The cost per student will be $250. There will be a $50 non-refundable deposit fee to be paid with the registration form. The balance ($200) will be due on the first day of class and it will be non refundable after that.
Registration
Once we determined which level will be most appropriate for your kid, I email you the registration form via email.
Curriculum
There will be more information on the curriculum later in the summer but basically we will be working with :
- For HS level classes, we will be using the BJU Press Homeschool Spanish 1 ,2 . second edition.
- For the elementary, intermediate and advanced kids classes I am using Carson Dellosa:
- Skill Builders Spanish k-5 and 6-8th books I and II, and other books. The details will be included in the class syllabus and I will email it to you once we determined the class your kid will be in.
- You can find those used on ebay or directly with my previous students (applies only for HS non workbooks). Or you can buy new.
- Elementary books are all workbooks so you need to make sure when you buy them that they have not been written on.
